Getting Started
Globely makes it easy to see the local time for everyone you care about—teammates, family,
friends, and clients—wherever they are in the world. Here's how to get started:
Adding People
Tap the + button on the main screen to add someone new. Enter their name and select their city or
time zone. Their local time will appear instantly on your main screen.
Editing or Removing People
Swipe left on any person's name to reveal edit and delete options. Tap edit to change their name or
time zone, or tap delete to remove them from your list.
Reordering Your List
Press and hold on any person, then drag them to reorder your list. Put the people you check most
often at the top for quick access.
Setting Up the Widget
The Globely widget lets you see everyone's time at a glance without opening the app. Here's how
to set it up:
1. Long-press on an empty area of your iPhone home screen until the apps start to jiggle
2. Tap the + button in the top-left corner
3. Search for "Globely" in the widget gallery
4. Choose your preferred widget size (small, medium, or large)
5. Tap "Add Widget" to place it on your home screen
6. Tap the widget to configure which people to display
7. Tap "Done" in the top-right corner to finish



Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't my widget updating?
Widgets update periodically based on iOS system scheduling. If your widget seems stuck, try
removing and re-adding it. Make sure Globely has permission to run in the background.
Is my data private?
Yes, completely. All your data is stored locally on your device. We don't collect, transmit, or store
any of your information on external servers. Your data never leaves your phone.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Globely works completely offline because all data is stored on your device. No internet
connection is required to view times or use the widget.
How accurate is the time zone data?
Globely uses the standard time zone database maintained by IANA, which is the same database
used by your iPhone. Times are calculated based on current daylight saving time rules.
Can I add the same person twice with different locations?
Yes! This is useful if someone travels frequently. You can add "Mom (Home)" and "Mom
(Traveling)" with different time zones.
How do I delete all my data?
You can remove individual entries by swiping left. To delete all data, simply delete the app from
your device. All your information will be permanently removed.
Troubleshooting
App won't open or crashes
Try closing the app completely and reopening it. If the issue persists, restart your device. As a last
resort, delete and reinstall the app (note: this will remove your saved data).



Widget shows wrong time
Make sure your iPhone's date and time settings are set to "Set Automatically." Go to Settings →
General → Date & Time and enable automatic time.
Can't find a city
Try searching for a larger nearby city or the region/country name. You can also browse time zones
manually if the specific city isn't listed.
